A mandatory meeting of band parents and students will be held on Tuesday, February 2, at 7 PM in the Sr. High LGI Room (Rm. 600).  At that time, we will go over details concerning rules and itinerary for the upcoming trip to Florida.  If you are unable to make the meeting due to an emergency, please contact Mr. Waha ( This e-mail address is being protected from spambots. The following is the rehearsal schedule as we prepare to go to Florida:

February 9 (Tuesday):

The Burch Farms Cider and Pepperoni Ball Sale forms are now available to the band students.  The profit from this sale will be added to the trip accounts for this year's trip.  Please be sure to return all money and forms by February 10th or 11th.  Order and information forms are available in the Band Room as well as attached to this article.  After submitting your order forms and money, coupons will be given to the students.  Please pass the coupons along to the people to which that you sold and they can redeem them at the Burch Farms store.  If you have any questions, please call Cindy Pomorski at 898-1338 (evenings).

The trip to FLORIDA is right around the corner.  It is so important to get your last couple of payments in on time.  Please contact Mr. Waha or Mrs. Daugherty if you have any questions concerning your trip balance.

Unfortunately, we get wet like we did at Bradford (and Girard and the football game...). 
Please care for the uniforms in the following way:

1.  Do not wash the uniforms.  This goes for both guard and band uniforms.

2.  Let them hang to dry.  Open up the uniform bags and let them dry completely.

3.  A little bit of Febreze is a good thing!

4.  Finally, for the band uniforms (not guard), it required that you get them cleaned during the season.  It is important that we present a professional appearance.  Please make sure that the uniforms are cleaned and back for that weekend's performance.  Also, before taking them in, please carefuly remove the orange shield and collar liner.  These things can get lost easily and you will be held responsible to pay for their replacement.

Now is the time that uniforms should be dry-cleaned!!!  Please get them done and ready for this weekend!!

Calendars for the entire 2009-2010 school year are now available for download.  This is basically the same calendar that was included in this year's Band Handbook with same corrections/additions and in a bigger, full-page format.  You must be a member of the website in order to download this file.  It's easy to join and once you do, you'll be able to participate in all of the forums and download sound files and pictures.

As always, please make sure to check the calendar carefully.  Students should be at all rehearsals.  Work is not an excuse to miss a rehearsal.  A student's grade will be affected by absences.  If a student is ill and cannot attend rehearsal, please e-mail Mr. Waha at This e-mail address is being protected from spambots.
